# Magic Item Forge

> Magic Item Forge is a free, browser-based tool for creating and printing magic item cards for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition (D&D 5e) and Shadowdark RPG tabletop campaigns. No account, no server, no ads — runs entirely in the browser.

Magic Item Forge lets Dungeon Masters and Game Masters design custom magic item cards with a live preview, then print them or save as PDF. Users fill out a form with item properties (name, type, rarity, damage, armor class, charges, description, images) and instantly see a styled card preview. Multiple items can be created at once and printed together on A4 paper.

The app supports three card templates (D&D 5e Classic, Shadowdark, Print Friendly) and three print layouts (Default 2-column, Full Width, Standard Card Size at 63×88mm poker size). It is available in English and German.

- Item types: Weapon, Armor, Potion, Ring, Rod, Scroll, Staff, Wand, Wondrous Item
- Rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Very Rare, Legendary, Artifact
- Weapon properties: damage dice, damage type, range, versatile damage, plus ammunition/finesse/heavy/light/loading/reach/thrown/two-handed/versatile
- Armor properties: category (light/medium/heavy/shield), base AC, stealth disadvantage, strength requirement
- Additional fields: magical bonus, weight, value, attunement, charges, recharge, flavor text, rich text description, custom images
- Export/import items as JSON, save card previews as PNG
